Girls rugby has taken off in a big way at Rye over the last two months. First we have got a new girls team who played their first matches at Hellingly in March against some tough opposition from H3 and South Sussex Barbarians and then we have had over 15 women joining the younger girls to form their own team ready for next season.
Now our girls have their first home game against Crowborough girls (anothert new outfit) on Sunday 27th April kick off at 11.30 after the boys U15 match at 10.30.
If you can make it get down to the club and support the girls (and boys) as they take on the might of Crowborogh, it should be a memorable end to the season.Â

Information on this year’s tour is available on the Youth pages and from Jeremy or any of the team coaches.

We are going to visit Castricum, who visited us back in October. Costs for the tour have been kept to a minimum, just £120 for three days (based on 50 places).

If you want to go, let Jeremy or one of the coaches know by next weekend. A deposit of £50 will be required immediatley, with the balance payable by 23rd March.

The next beach rugby tournament has been set for Saturday 19th July 2008. Our first festival was an amazing success with 10 teams and over a hundred people taking part. We enjoyed fantastic support from the RFU leisure Rugby team who we are pleased to report are supporting us again this year.

So make a date in your diary, tell all your friends, bring a picnic, your family & friends and we’ll see you on Camber Sands ready for another great day of beach rugby.
We’ve made a special order for a hot sunny day!
